Playing a wizard may be quite challenging if you don't know what build to make and especially when you don't have too many items. I have found a new build which works perfectly for me for T1-T4, so I thought it would be nice to share it.Since the Patch 2.1.0 in Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls, things have changed a bit for wizards. The most important change I noticed what the fact that now 2 handed weapons actually do pretty good dps, so you can choose either to wear a 2hand or a 1 hand + source.
Skill Build for Wizards, easy farm on T1-T4:
Primary: Electrocute - Surge of Power / Forked Lightning
Secondary: Arcane Orb - Scorch
1: Archon - Combustion
2: Black Hole - Blazar
3: Familiar - Arcanot / Sparkflint (Depends on how well you manage your Arcane Power)
4. Magic Weapon - Force Weapon
Pasive skill build:
1: Conflagration
2: Glass Cannon
3: Blur (Can be replaced if your toughness is high)
4: Astral Presence
For this build to work properly it would be nice to have:
Items:
This build is not item dependent, but a Firebird set would do great since it's a fire build. I personally do not have a full set equipped, just parts from several sets but no considerate bonus.
Cindercoat / Magefists / Andariel - Any of these items will increase your damage considerably.
Dps: Around 800,000 - 1,100,000
Toughness: Around 7-8KK
As much Fire damage increase % on items as you can!
I honestly use a 2Handed Weapon at the moment and I think it works just fine. It has a DPS of 3.750 + socket, so as you can see it's not something very special and you can achieve it without any headaches.
Maximus also works good on this build since it provides fire chains between you and the demon, but you must be very careful with positioning.
