Greater Rifts have just been implemented in Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls, so there might be many of you that have no idea what are those rift for and how to properly farm them.
When you enter a Greater Rift, you have a certain timer in which you have to clean the rift, including the Rift Guardian. This might seem easy, but trust me it's not!
Greater Rift - Bonus!!
There is also a bonus, which, if you achieve, will send you to another Greater Rift of higher difficulty. In order to meet the bonus, you have to fill up the bar that is located on the right side of the screen, that shows how much of the rift you have completed. The most efficient way of filling up the bar is by killing elite packs of mobs and collecting the tokens that they drop after they are killed. It is more challenging than killing normal mobs, but the bar fills up faster.
How to farm Greater Rifts:
* Don't waste time on just a few normal mobs.
* Kill as many elites as you can, because those elite packs fill your bar much quicker.
* Try to not get lost on the map, do not waste precious time on "map corners" that you want to explore, you can do that after you kill the Rift Guardian or on normal rifts.
* Don't die! As much as possible, stay alive!
* Always keep track of your progress, if you fall behind, work harder!!
* Choose your skill & item build carefully because once you are inside a Greater Rift, you cannot change any items or skills!!
You open a Greater Rift by using one of those Greater Rift Keystones. The rank depends on your skill, so it might not be the same as shown in the picture below.
