Many ask themselves "what is the Stigma Sistem in Aion ?". Well i'll try to explain that in this post. Remember WoW ? There you learned skills from trainers and from talents. In Aion you dont have talents, but you have Stigmas. The Stigma system allows the player to learn skills that are not learned from trainers.These skills are learned from special stones that drops from the monsters in the world. At level 20 you have 2 slots, at level 30 you have 3, 40 is for 4 and at level 50 you cand use all 5 slots. You can remove stones and put others in place at any time. With the stigma system, combined with the manastones, and other enhancements you can personalize your character in ways you can't imagine.
In order to use stigma stones, you must have enough stigma shards. These shard drops from mobs in Abyss, so collecting them might be a problem if the other faction in around to PvP you.
The full stigma sistem can't be explained only after game launch, when many people reach maximum level.
