The gladiator is one of the most defensive class in the whole game (but less than templars), this one usually serving as back up tankers, or sustained medium DPS. The armour type that the gladiator wears is plate, which means his defence is really high. Although both classes (i refer to gladiators and templars) can serve as tanks, the Templar is a better tank because it is a little bit more defensive than the gladiator.
A gladiator is based on HP not on MP, that's the reason why it has a large amount of hp and a really small one of mp. A gladiator can fight as long as it has hp, because it doesn't uses too much mp in a fight, this thing being a real advantage for this class.


For this character, is better to fight in party but it can fight solo too. It is a wanted class, especially in important parties, because everyone needs a good tanker. It remains your job to make your character a known one!

In PvE (Player versus Environment), as i said, it is better to fight in party for faster xp because the DPS (Damage per second) of the gladiator isn't high. A gladiator towards a mage can beat up almost everything!

In PvP (Player versus Player), the gladiator has real problems in beating up any mage class because of the high DPS that those classes have. If the mage can keep the distance between him and the gladiator, then the mage wins the fight. Although a gladiator can be beaten up by a mage, that doesn't means this class is a weak one. A good gladiator can beat up any scout and lets not forget that nothing can be done in Aion without a tanker.
